Personal Statement

Hi, I’m Annie.
I am a Birth and Post-Natal Doula, Complementary Therapist, and experienced massage therapist, who has a passion for supporting and empowering women (and their partners!) in pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. I offer practical, physical and emotional support and would love to help you to prepare for the birth that best suits you. My training includes trauma informed practice, pregnancy massage, shamanic practice, reiki, body massage, reflexology and aromatherapy. I am currently a member of the Scottish Doula Network and also Doulas Without Borders.
Since qualifying as a Complementary Therapist in 2013, I have been providing massage therapies as my main service. I further specialised my training with pregnancy/birth support as my interest and passion for birth grew. I am currently also exploring End of Life Doula training and hope to offer this service towards 2021.

I am passionate about life and in connecting with the raw creative energy that fuels it. This shows itself in my love for nature, the wild outdoors, foraging and gardening. Whether it is through drawing, dancing, singing, music, cooking or play, I enjoy the art of creative expression as a celebration of life. I truly care about those around me and take joy in supporting my clients as best as I can. My empathetic nature and peaceful energy shine through my work and I strive to support my clients so that they can feel empowered, listened to and cared for. If you need bodywork, or support for a challenging transition in your life, then I can be here for you.

I would be delighted to meet you and to see if I am able to support you in the ways that you need. In the mean time, please head on over to my website to read more about me and what I offer.

We do not vet our doulas – this is a simple directory to make it easier for you to find the right doula for your needs based on location and skills. We do not take responsibility for any doula listed on this site.  Please do your due diligence when contacting Doulas and ask for credentials and qualifications during your interview. We trust your ability to make decisions for yourself.
