I am a HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator and Birth Doula. I offer the original and best Mongan Method birth preparation course for parents-to-be. As a Birth Doula, I offer full support during labour and birth, using hypnobirthing techniques for relaxation and comfort. HypnoBirthing classes are held at my premises near Biggar. I also provide effective prenatal relaxation sessions, using meditation, calm breathing and self-hypnosis techniques for labour and birth. I am also a trauma-informed volunteer with Doulas Without Borders, and an Advanced Practitioner in IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) to debrief, alleviate and heal PTS and birth trauma.
I offer a holistic approach, supporting you in mind and spirit as well as body. With years of HypnoBirthing experience, I aim to support you from a calm, confident centre of peaceful relaxation and to work with you to maintain your calm and comfortable birthing body. I am passionate about informed choice and work to empower you (and your partner) to discuss and interpret information so you can make informed choices for you and your baby.
I provide equality of services and care to all birthing parents, regardless of age, disability, gender, gender identity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation or martial status. I also hold space in my practice for supporting vulnerable individuals during the childbearing year, for expenses only. I am moving towards full spectrum doula care, offering support through termination, loss and still birth. If you are on your own, experiencing trauma, family violence, financial hardship, living with a disability, at risk of post-natal depression or anxiety, and feel you could benefit from HypnoBirthing or doula support, please contact me in confidence.
